Cerebrovascular Disease

Indications for study:

  • Carotid bruits
  • Scheduled major vascular or general surgery
  • Post-endarterectomy follow-up
  • Monitoring progression of carotid vascular disease
  • Non-hemispheric cerebal symptoms - dizziness
  • Ocular changes or symptoms

Study to Order:

  • Carotid Evaluation Study  

Study Includes:

  • Duplex scan (imaging and Flow)


Venous Disease

Indications for study:

  • Suspected deep vein thrombosis
  • Lower extremity edema
  • Venous insufficiency (varicose veins)
  • Leg ulcers

Study to Order:

  • Venous Evaluation
    - for DVT
    - for insufficiency

Study Includes:

  • Duplex scan (imaging and flow)


Arterial Disease - Extremity

Indications for study:

  • Extremity pain or cramping
  • Rest pain
  • Intermittent claudication
  • Non-healing lesions
  • Pre-operative for orthopedic or podiatry surgery
  • Follow-up vascular surgery or angioplasty
  • Follow-up progression of vascular disease

Study to Order:

  • Extremity arterial evaluation

Study Includes:

  • Segmental pressures or
  • Duplex imaging
  • Stress testing of extremity (where appropriate)

  • Aortic aneurysm
  • Renal artery stenosis (hypertension)
  • Subclavian thrombosis
  • Mesenteric/intestinal ischemia
  • Dialysis vascular access
  • Diabetic vascular symptoms
